Dear New Client,
Thank you for beginning your journey. This can be a difficult decision to work on things that aren't comfortable and for some of you, may never had an experienced before. If this is your first time, I'm glad and honored you made this decision. My goal is to make you to feel welcomed. You are embarking on something new, different. exciting and at times can be uncomfortable. This is especially difficult when you don't know the person you are talking to. You may feel embarrassed, ashamed or maybe happy and relieved.
Good therapy isn't always comfortable. But I assure you this process is to help you grow. The job of the therapist is to provide a space that is non-judgemental, positive and allows for healing and growth. My job is to maintain this aspect and provide challenges to help you work through what led you here. I ask that you be open and let me know how you are experiencing this, which can be therapeutic in itself. If this isn't the experience you are hoping to have, I will advocate and help you seek support.
My role is to not give advice but help you explore different ways to answer your concerns. You can ask questions and I encourage you do so. This helps build trust and establish collaboration. You don't need to apologize for how you are feeling. Be yourself and authentic. Feel free to express your thoughts or feelings as they come. If you aren't ready to do that, it's ok and we can keep working towards it. As you do, you will continue to build a better understanding of yourself and develop greater self-appreciation!
Our office is conveniently located in Orwigsburg, Pa providing in-person sessions and outdoor walking therapy (not covered by insurance.) Telehealth services are also available providing convenient services from the privacy and comfort of your own home!

Outdoor sessions utilize movement and nature as part of therapy in your sessions and explore some of Orwigsburg's walking, hiking and outdoor areas. Walking mental health services are not covered by insurance.**
